Van Elgar tot Elton

• 8 November 2026
  • 14:00 – 16:00

On Sunday 8 November at 14.30, women’s choir Allure will give a special concert in the Protestantse Kerk in Wognum. Under the title ‘Van Elgar tot Elton’, the choir will take the audience on a musical journey through Scotland, England and Ireland.

The programme is a surprising mix of classical music, folk and pop. From the romantic sounds of Edward Elgar and centuries-old British folk music to well-known pop songs by The Beatles, Adele and Elton John. Different musical styles, old and new, are interwoven in a beautiful programme. Longing, love, memory, loss, hope and coming home form the common thread in this concert.

Women’s choir Allure is led by conductor and pianist Frank Hoebe. Musical contributions will be provided by soloist Mieneke Boots-Verhoef and violinist Gregor Overtoom. The presentation of this concert will be provided by Kees Veeken.

We will conclude the afternoon with a drink and a snack.
