Sjaak Bral met Vaarwel 2026

My 30th New Year’s Eve show. A unique achievement in Dutch theatre history and certainly in my own history as well. I have never kept anything up for 30 years. Except for breathing. It is also not a matter of keeping it up. It is an honour, every single year.

Tens of thousands of people who want to hear what I thought of the year in the theatre, on TV West and on the radio. Fantastic. Strangely enough, I ask myself every year: am I a bungler with conviction – or a horror with talent? Perhaps that is where the success of 30 years of Vaarwel lies. On to the next 30!
