Hemels introduces: children’s theatre! A morning for our little visitors.

It is Dikkie Dik’s birthday. A large cake stands on the table. Dikkie Dik takes a bite of the cake. How delicious! He takes another bite and another… Dikkie Dik, stop it, you’re going to get sick. But Dikkie Dik doesn’t listen… The cake is gone, and Dikkie Dik has to go look for milk, eggs, and apples for an apple pie all by himself. But mischievous and curious as Dikkie Dik is, everything goes wrong. Can the party go on? Will there be cake for Dikkie Dik’s friends?

Dikkie Dik and the Cake: a small, atmospheric musical performance for toddlers, preschoolers, and their parents. The audience is actively involved in the show. There is plenty of opportunity to sing and shout along to new, original songs about Dikkie Dik. The story is built around a life-sized book featuring original Dikkie Dik illustrations by Jet Boeke.
