Mini documentaire – Het verhaal achter Oorlogsmuseum Medemblik

The documentary highlights the museum’s core values: freedom, equality, and solidarity. These themes not only form the foundation of the exhibitions but also the message the museum strives to convey daily. The documentary demonstrates that these values remain crucial today and that choices in our daily lives directly impact the freedom, equality, and solidarity we strive to achieve and maintain together.

The documentary features the Rustenburg family, board members, and a volunteer. They discuss their personal motivations behind the museum, the significance of their work, and the responsibility they feel to pass on the stories of the past to future generations. With this documentary, the Medemblik War Museum aims not only to provide insight into its origins and mission but also to raise awareness of the importance of remembrance, understanding, and connection.

The documentary will be shown continuously from November 30th in the 1940s-themed theater at the Medemblik War Museum and can be viewed during a visit to the museum. The documentary will also be published on YouTube, making it accessible to everyone.
