De Vooroever

Recreational area laid out outside the dike that extends to Andijk. The Vooroever is an elongated, continuous recreation and nature area of approximately 144 hectares. It is located along the IJsselmeer coast between Medemblik and Andijk. The area is perfect for a brisk walk. Along the banks of the IJsselmeer. This 23-kilometer walk goes from Medemblik along the banks of the IJsselmeer through the villages of Onderdijk, Wervershoof and Andijk. It is a varied landscape with beautiful village views and a special flora and fauna. Put on your best hiking shoes and go out in Medemblik.
