VanWyck – Thin Places

With five albums, Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter VanWyck has created a mysterious and adventurous oeuvre that captures hearts worldwide and resonates even more intensely live. Moving between Americana, folk, rock, and indie, she navigates towards a horizon that continues to beckon and surprise.

In this theatre concert, VanWyck goes in search of ‘thin places’: those rare places and moments where the veil between the everyday and the eternal is briefly wafer-thin.

Together with keyboardist and singer Henk Hulzebosch, she weaves an intimate setting around songs like Listen To You Breathe and Your Favorite Tune and the brand-new duet To June This Morning. Whisper-soft and sensual, then overwhelmingly powerful. With just guitar, piano, and two voices, the evening itself transforms into a thin place—a moment in which music blows away the veils of the everyday.
