Your Mother’s Language and Father’s Country

A hossie, a rak, a dars… what is still known of the West Frisian language in the village of Twisk? During our walk we will search for this and thus connect with the theme of this year’s book week. In addition, the guides will also dwell on the history and stories of this village with a protected village view.

After the walk you suddenly look at Twisk with different eyes, where you might otherwise cycle or drive through without thinking.

A special children’s walk has been booked for the walk on August 10. One group will focus specifically on them.

We always leave at 13:30 from the Twisker Vermaning (Dorpsweg 149). The tour lasts about an hour and a half. Upon return, a delicious cup of coffee or tea awaits you. Costs: € 5.00 pp
