Tribute Night! Golden Earring, CCR & The Who!

On Saturday evening, October 17, 2 fantastic acts will take the stage at De Schoof.

A tribute will be paid to The Golden Earring, The Who, and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Two bands will come to Wervershoof to go back in time for an evening to the era when these bands could still be admired live.

45 Miles:

Sadly, Golden Earring will no longer appear on stage. Fortunately, the band 45 Miles is there to offer much-needed consolation. This formation, which pays tribute to Golden Earring, took to the stage in 2018 as a one-off project. However, due to the many requests that followed immediately, the band stayed together. After several changes, the band took on a permanent character three years later. The current lineup consists of experienced members with many hours of stage experience and, above all, a great love for the Earring!

Substitute:

The band Substitute hails from our own region. The name immediately reveals that they pay tribute to The Who. This group of musician friends has already performed several occasional gigs in this lineup. For quite some time now, they have been playing a set together featuring a combination of The Who and Creedence Clearwater Revival songs. The melodic and sometimes inimitable parts of The Who are welcomely alternated with the catchy riffs and recognizable lyrics of CCR. Since CCR and The Who themselves no longer perform, we have found a worthy replacement in Substitute!
