The Hoorn-Medemblik Museum Steam Tram takes you on a steam tram adventure. Discover all about steam trams and travel from 100 years ago with the exciting treasure hunt in Hoorn and take a short steam tram ride! Children travel at a discount this spring break!
The Steam Tram Adventure begins with a treasure hunt exploring everything and everyone that makes steam trams so exciting. It’s an adventure where you’ll get your hands dirty! The highlight is, of course, a look inside the steam locomotive. This is where the coal is burned and water is turned into steam. In the signal box, you can operate a switch or signal before the steam tram journey to Wognum begins. Once there, you can dress up as a traveler from 100 years ago or help load the freight.
The Steam Tram Adventure starts at 10am, 12pm and 2pm at Hoorn tram station and lasts approximately 2 hours.
