Slotconcert Nieuw Talent Orkest Medemblik

The New Talent Orchestra is a unique initiative in which nine music associations from the municipality of Medemblik joined forces. This season, no fewer than 60 adults embarked on this adventure: from their first encounter with conductor Ton van de Kieft to choosing a completely new instrument. Clarinet or saxophone, trumpet or trombone, flugelhorn, bass, or percussion – everything was possible. The instruments were provided by the associations, and the participants received lessons and guidance from qualified instructors and experienced musicians.

During the final concert, you’ll hear the results of an intensive and inspiring period in which new musicians not only learned their instruments but also each other. Expect an evening full of energy, pride, and musicality – and above all: proof that you can start making music at any age.
