The 70s were the absolute peak for Soul music in the Netherlands, but Soul is of course older than that and originated in the fifties and sixties from rhythm and blues and gospel music. Names like Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, James Brown, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder brought soul around the world.

To convey the swing, the style, the rhythm on one guitar and with 2 voices is once again a huge challenge for Bert Heerink (former Vandenberg, Kayak and Jan Akkerman singer) and Martijn van der Zande.

Their Classic Country shows, which have been performed throughout the Netherlands for over a year and a half, prove that it is possible; now it is Soul’s turn.

Surprising arrangements, unexpected but also very recognizable and successful songs are featured in another complete theater show of almost 2 hours.

Enjoy performances of “Ain’t no sunshine”, ‘Reflections”, “Cream”, and ‘Sir Duke”, then you can’t miss this!
