German pianist, composer and fortepiano specialist Ratko Delorko will give a special concert in Amsterdam. The day before he will give a solo recital in Huis Midwoud. Ratko composed an opera, piano concertos, chamber music as well as visual music such as this piece Ice played in an Ice Cave.
Ratko travelled for several years to concert halls and theatres, not like me with one concert grand, but with 22 different historical grands ! All to take his audience along in the development of the piano, and to introduce them to their sound diversity through the composers who wrote music for it.
So this pianist is all about history , but also someone who likes to write modern music. For example, he wrote a 24-minute piece in 24 keys. He is also a born and much sought-after teacher at conservatories all over the world.
Ratko will undoubtedly not only play on one grand piano, but will also play various instruments. We are looking forward to it and of course hope, just like him, for a full hall, so be quick and reserve a spot.
