Come to the Medieval Archery on the castle square! During this demo, longbowman Rob Kortekaas will tell you everything about this indispensable medieval weapon and the art of shooting. The castle square is freely accessible.

In the early and late Middle Ages, the crossbow is also widely used in addition to the handbow. The longbow is invented in Wales in the 14th century. This not only has a much greater range, but you can also shoot much faster with it than with the crossbow.
