A hilarious look behind the scenes of amateur theatre.

Nine actors play the roles of amateur actors, set designers, and directors of “Toneelgroep Zand.” The theater group is finally allowed to rehearse in the main hall of the theater. To elevate their performance, they’ve hired a professional director.

The atmosphere is growing increasingly tense. There’s little time left until the premiere, the director is growing impatient, the costumes aren’t finished yet, there’s no set, and who’s actually doing what? And who’s constantly messing with the lighting? When will Bob W finally arrive, and who’s handling the director’s duties, and who isn’t? These are all questions that still need to be answered before premiere night…
