Have you always wanted to know more about herbs and how they were used in the past? Then book ‘The Power of Herbs: An Introduction’ with Saskia Assink, our Herb Garden Head. Since 2020, Radboud Castle has had a historic kitchen herb garden, based on that of the medieval Lobbrecht .

Step back in time, when nature was not only a source of food, but also of medicines and, for example, dyes. You start with a cup of herbal tea and then head into the garden to examine, feel, and smell the herbs. Using various examples, Saskia will tell you which herb was used for what, as well as discuss current developments. The number of places is limited, so be quick! The minimum age is 12.
