Belle & Het Beest – De musical

Belle lives in a village on the edge of a large forest. She lives there with her mother, who has her own fruit and vegetable shop. Belle loves to bake and draw, but because of the shop she has no time for that. Every now and then she goes to the forest to draw quietly. Recently she has discovered a new place: a beautiful castle with a waterfall. No one ever goes to that castle. Could anyone still live there?

Yes, that’s Prince Florian – a beast. The head lackeys are throwing a party, because the prince has one more week to find his true love. Otherwise he will remain a beast forever. Will the feeling of true love prevail, or is it always just about the outside?

Beauty and the Beast is the fifth family show produced by DLZ. After the huge success of Puss in Boots, The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel and Aladdin, this spring break is the time for Beauty and the Beast. DLZ-Theaterproducties performs musicals for primary schools and families who are less well off in West Friesland. They do this entirely voluntarily. Every Thursday evening they rehearse in Youth Centre Inventas to ultimately create a comical, beautiful, but above all super cool children’s musical. They do this with 23 young people who each have a passion for musicals. DLZ does everything itself: from decor to make-up, from music to costumes.
