Amazing Stroopwafels in Lambertschaag

After songs like “Ome Kobus,” “Oude Maasweg,” “Kees,” “De Dievenwagen,” and “Ik ga naar Frankrijk,” many more evergreens have been released. With tropical enthusiasm, this trio plays in cafes, retirement homes, theaters, saunas, rehab centers, De Lijnbaan in Rotterdam, Het Groene Kerkje, and wherever you want them. Wim Kerkhof sings and “kicks” double bass, plays piano, and synthesizer. Rien de Bruin sings and plays accordion and guitar. Usually accompanied by Arie de Graaf or his son Merlijn Kerkhof. In this lineup, they have been performing monthly throughout the country for over 40 years. Nevertheless, The Amazing Stroopwafels have managed to find time to perform their show in the picturesque church of Lambertschaag on Saturday, November 22nd.

In the 1980s, Muziekcafé De Egelantier on the Gouwe river treated the wider region to a unique experience of live music. One of the highlights during this period was The Amazing Stroopwafels, and that was 40 years ago. For the founders of this timeless café, this was reason enough to give these cabaret artists a stage once again, this time in the Groene Kerkje (Green Church) in Lambertschaag.
