The Abbey Brothers are back on the stage of the Groene Kerkje for a thunderous conclusion to this wonderful season, in which the Groene Kerkje is buzzing like never before!
A year ago, Frans and Michel could also be seen and heard here with their debut concert, a wondrous potpourri of pop songs that everyone knows, but that you almost never hear. After this successful evening, which was received with great enthusiasm by the large audience, the Abbey Brothers focused on a program consisting solely of songs by the well-known New Zealand/Australian band Crowded House. In September, they performed this set twice in one day at the Groene Kerkje during the Theater Trap Tour. On both occasions, the church was full, and there were many enthusiastic reactions afterwards. The Abbey Brothers, Frans Groen and Michel Koek, are local heroes who consider the Groene Kerkje their home stage. This time, too, they are going to make it a wonderful evening with a genuine sixties revival. The Abbeys have rummaged through their entire record collection to compile a list of delightful, recognizable pop songs from the 60s. We are going to hear The Byrds and The Kinks, the Hollies too, and yes, of course, The Beatles, but also much, much more. The Abbey Brothers love performing songs with harmonies. Abbey Brothers ‘sing Sixties’, come and enjoy!
